A Track & Trace Anti-Counterfeiting Solution with an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Digital Platform

About the Project:

The project aims to help people and companies recognize original products and avoid purchasing fake ones. An increasing number of products reach the market without proper verification or come from unsafe sources, which can affect consumers’ health, the economy, and public trust. Through this project, Stone Soup Tech SRL will develop an online platform and a mobile application that will allow anyone to easily verify whether a product is authentic. The system will be simple to use: each product will have a unique label that can be scanned. Within seconds, the user will receive information about the product’s origin, manufacturer, and safety.
By means of this digital solution, the project contributes to protecting consumers from counterfeit products, supporting honest manufacturers and law-abiding retailers, reducing economic losses and illegal trade, and increasing trust in products made and sold in Romania.

Project Objective:

To develop a digital platform powered by Artificial Intelligence that helps combat counterfeiting and protect consumers and businesses by verifying product authenticity in real time. The final result will be an intelligent digital platform, 100% developed in Romania, that can be used by manufacturers, retailers, and institutions for quick and reliable product authenticity verification—particularly for food and pharmaceutical products.

Specific Objectives of the Project:

Research and development of a system for the automatic identification of authentic and counterfeit holograms;
Creation of a mobile application through which users can verify product authenticity directly from their smartphones;
Implementation of a secure digital infrastructure to monitor the path of each label—from manufacturer to consumer—ensuring full transparency and traceability;
Testing and validation of the system under real operating conditions, together with industrial partners.
