Project Description

Founded by an inner-city school teacher, Sandee Hensley decided she wanted to help minority children in her community in more ways than she was able to do while teaching.  In 1998, Sandee left her teaching job to devote herself full-time to this.  Heartworks Ministry, Inc. was formed and a home was opened for children to find refuge after school and during the summers. Eventually, Jubilee Academy was formed.  This year-round, full time, Christian, independent school has many volunteers who devote their time to this ministry, and have served over 20 families from poverty stricken areas of Columbia.
