If only we could all have an on-call professional web design company to take our hopes and dreams to fruition. Of course, everyone can have this if you know who to call on for your custom web design needs. The good people at Baptist Women in Ministry, based in Atlanta, Georgia, knew this when they first came to Stone Soup a few years ago for their first professional website. They were so pleased that they came back again when they had a vision of giving their website a newer, fresher look to go with the new direction of the organization. They called on Stone Soup to make those dreams a reality. In addition to wanting a new look, they also were looking for something that would be easy to manage in-house. Our solution to meet their budget and their level of experience was a website built entirely around WordPress, a popular blogging engine. Stone Soup Technology Creates Custom Application for Williams-Sonoma Distribution Center

Handheld-device inventory control application increases client’s accuracy and efficiency.

Griffin, GA, January 3, 2010: Atlanta-based Stone Soup Technology recently completed the development of a custom handheld-device inventory control application for a Williams-Sonoma distribution center. The client needed an inventory-control solution that would run on a Motorola MC75 which uses the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. The end-user is a warehouse staff member who is responsible for scanning in all contents of a trailer with the Motorola MC75 before items are placed on the shelves to be pulled for order fulfillment.

The application allows for precise documentation of the contents of the trailer by standardizing trailer number, date format and carton identification numbers, offering several built-in safeguards against duplicate numbering and sessions, and exporting all data to either a Microsoft Excel or CSV file.

Feltman brings with her a wealth of experience in consultative sales and will work with all potential and current clients in their online strategy development.

The Stone Soup Team would like to wish all of our clients a very happy New Year! As we get prepared for a very exciting 2010, some of our team members will be getting refreshed by taking some time off. If your project is currently in development you should have already been notified of any schedules that affect your project development timeline. Our sales office will close at 2pm on New Year’s Eve and will reopen at 9am on Monday, January 4.

2009 has been a year of growth for Stone Soup. In a turbulent economy, we are extremely thankful that you, our clients, have entrusted us with your projects. We have added 3 new designers, 2 developers, 1 project manager, and a Director of Sales & Marketing to our team. Our steady growth has enabled us to handle larger projects and deliver a better finished product. One area of growth has been in the field of Medical Website Design. As we start 2010, we will continue to move forward in that area by providing doctors and surgeons with solutions that will positively impact their bottom line. Spread the word!
